Arrangement Planning For Yourself
- Identify the general budget you have for your funeral costs
- Consider your preferences between burial or cremation, urn or casket, as well as grave marker and any desired inscriptions
- Select your preferred officiant
- Specify any desired floral arrangements or be sure to note if in lieu of flowers you would like donations to charitable causes
- Decide on photos or videos and music for your service
- Choose readings or poetry you wish to have recited at service
- Prepare any speech or eulogy you'd like given
- Arrange any food and beverages you would like to have served during service or after

- Organize your florist and identify floral arrangements for service
- Choose photos, videos, music played or sung and any other memorabilia you wish to have displayed
- Select the date and time of the service
- Arrange your officiant and any pallbearers if required
- Write obituary, communicating any preference of flowers or donations to charitable organizations, and timing for services, submit to chosen newspapers
- Create and print memorial folders or programs for service
- Obtain Death Certificate
- Decide who will preform Eulogy
- Arrange food and beverage to have served during service or after
